An Interesting Rotary week

Been a busy week - Monday saw me at our District Leadership Training & Development Committee planning future District training events; Tuesday went to Pinner Rotary accompanying a Brunel student looking to enhance her funds to take her to Democratic Republic of Congo to research into the impact of Elephantitis (brave lady) - the club inducted their 6th lady member (none 2 years ago) and takes their membership up to 40 (brilliant effort!); Wednesday at an Information meeting for our Rotary Club - 20+ prospective members - at least 7 seriously interested in returning; Thursday - lunchtime at Didcot RC, Joan was speaking there - chance to meet them + their guests from Thatcham RC & Wantage RC; Thursday evening playing for club team in District darts competition - we won 5-0 and advance to the quarter-final; Friday at a concert by the Vyners School swing band organised by our club, with dinner by our Inner Wheel club - all in aid of Rotary charities.  Time for a relaxing weekend I think!
