I'm honoured to have been nominated for the post of District Governor (DG) for Rotary's District 1090 for 2013-2014. Not quite sure why, but for some my reason my club seems to think that I should do this and I thought I should probably have a crack at it before I get too old.
This year there will be a ballot for the post so I won't know if I'm successful until early September. However, it's a particular honour to have been nominated - we've never had a DG in the 32 years we've been going. If it comes off I know it's going to a very busy time for me, and for Joan.
However, it must be worth it to be asked to serve this terrific organisation, so wish me luck!
